Im Still Here.

Were still here, still smiling, still knitting socks!

We've got some lovely new yarniliciousness in the shop The Yarn Tart Sock Blanks are now back. Its been ages since I got the dye pots out and I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

The Yarn Tart

Ive already cast on 2 of the sock blanks. Can you guess which ones? They are both gorgeous. Superwash merino/Nylon blend.

As well as dyeing Sock Blanks Ive been dyeing up some 6ply for all of us who like thicker socks during the cooler months. I wear thicker socks as slippers. The image below shows some of my hand dyed 4 ply too.

Like everyone the heat has slowed me down, I feel  I've not knit as much although Mr Suffolk Socks  Im sure would disagree.

Knit Groups

Ive recently joined a new craft group ,very local to me hosted by @flynnThomas at Hullabaloo, a vegan cafe in the heart of Ipswich. Owned by Jenni and John its a lovely hub for crafters to meet up on a Wednesday night. I first met Jenni years ago when she came on my sock knitting course.

Another local knit group Ive discovered also very local to me is one at The Nelson Pub. A wonderful group, very friendly and great company.  For those that know me well know whilst I look ok beneath the surface Im flapping manically and hysterically but on my meander home i chuffed to bits that I made the effort to go.  One concern is that these ladies knit the most gorgeous things and my will power is quickly desrting me, infact its left the building.

 On the needles

My Habitation Throw has come out to play. Designed By Helen Stewart,  Curious Handmade. Im loving this project and i'm using lots of The Yarn Tart  yarns as well as Ring a Rosie and Norah George hand dyes yarns. There are several Life In The Long Grass (LLITLG) shades too.

The van

We've been staying at our caravan, We love it there and the community it has. Theres nothing nice than sitting on the deck with my fave person. Jonathan , Mr suffolk Socks. A glass of wine and my knitting

The heat takes it out of Vera at the van and at home. What a life she has

 Lastly

Have you seen our new Joji & Co Pampa Bucket? Oh MY Giddy Aunt

Happy Knitting !
